White Sox's Edgar Quero: Blasts second career home run
Quero went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a double, a walk, and an additional run scored in Friday's 10-1 win over the Pirates.
The 22-year-old rookie got the White Sox on the board early, launching a 391-foot solo shot off Bailey Falter in the first inning for his second career MLB home run. He later added a double in the seventh, marking his third career multi-extra-base-hit game. Quero has found success at the plate recently, going 6-for-21 (.286) with two homers over his last seven contests while continuing to earn opportunities in the middle of Chicago's lineup

White Sox's Luis Robert: Shows off power and speed in win
Robert went 2-for-2 with a solo home run, two walks, two additional runs scored and a stolen base in Friday's 10-1 win over the Pirates.
Robert filled up the stat sheet Friday, reaching base four times and showcasing his power-speed combo with his 10th home run and 23rd stolen base of the year. Since returning from the injured list, the 27-year-old outfielder has hit safely in six of seven games, going 7-for-21 (.333) with two home runs and four walks while continuing to anchor the middle of the White Sox's lineup.

White Sox's Jonathan Cannon: Efficient over seven during win
Cannon (4-7) earned the win Friday against the Pirates, allowing one run on five hits over seven innings while striking out two.
Cannon turned in one of his best outings of the season, limiting Pittsburgh to a single run on an RBI knock by Oneil Cruz in the fourth. It marked just the second time this year the 24-year-old has completed at least seven innings, needing only 86 pitches to do so. Cannon wasn't overpowering but relied on soft contact to breeze through the outing. The right-hander heads into his next scheduled start against the Rays sporting a 4.18 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 63:29 K:BB across 84 innings.

White Sox's Brooks Baldwin: Starting rehab assignment
Baldwin (back) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Charlotte on Friday, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.
Baldwin has been shelved since July 9 with a lower back strain, and he'll work a brief minor-league rehab stint before being cleared to rejoin the 26-man roster. The 24-year-old is slashing .227/.271/.357 with four homers across 169 plate appearances this season for the White Sox.

White Sox's Gabe Davis: Popped in fifth round
The White Sox have selected Davis with the 137th overall pick in the 2025 First-Year Player Draft.
Davis is coming off a junior season at Oklahoma State where he posted just a 5.92 ERA and 29:16 K:BB over 24.1 innings, primarily working as a reliever. He missed time in 2024 with a fractured collarbone and in 2025 with shoulder issues. Davis has flashed a huge arm when healthy, though, and stands an intimidating 6-foot-9. The 21-year-old is probably a long-term reliever, but Chicago will try to develop him as a starter first.

White Sox's Landon Hodge: First pick of Day 2
The White Sox have selected Hodge with the 106th overall pick in the 2025 First-Year Player Draft.
Hodge is a lefty-hitting prep catcher from California. At 6-foot-2, 195 pounds, there's a chance he grows into 20-homer power, but Hodge currently has a line-drive stroke. The fact he bats from the left side gives him a chance to be on the strong side of a platoon if he reaches his potential.

White Sox's Andrew Benintendi: Strong series against Cleveland
Benintendi went 3-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk Sunday against the Guardians.
Benintendi popped his home run, his 11th of the season, to knot the game at 4-4. He reached base in three of four games against the Guardians this weekend, going 5-for-11 with two runs scored, a home run and a stolen base. Benintendi heads into the All-Star break with a .196 ISO across 270 plate appearances, which would be the highest mark of his career in a full season.

White Sox's Austin Slater: Breaks through with solo shot
Slater went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Sunday's 6-5 loss against the Guardians.
Slater opened the scoring in the fourth inning with a 387-foot solo home run off Joey Cantillo, his fourth on the year, and followed it up with an RBI single an inning later but it wasn't enough to lift the Sox to a win. After a hopeful late-June stretch, the 32-year-old had not been impressive at the plate recently, batting just 7-for-34 (.206) with seven strikeouts over his previous 12 games entering Sunday.

White Sox's Kyle Lodise: Nabbed in Round 3
The White Sox have selected Lodise with the 76th overall pick in the 2025 First-Year Player Draft.
Kyle's cousin, Alex Lodise, was selected with the 60th overall pick by Atlanta. Kyle is a shortstop from Georgia Tech, although he faces questions about whether he can stick at shortstop or if he could provide enough offense to profile at second base. Lodise hit .329/.429/.667 with 16 home runs and a 17.7 percent strikeout rate this year for Georgia Tech.

White Sox's Aaron Civale: Falls apart late in loss
Civale didn't factor into the decision Sunday against the Guardians, allowing four runs on three hits and two walks over 5.2 innings while recording three strikeouts.
Civale cruised through the first five innings while allowing just one hit, but he came undone in the sixth, giving up a three-run homer to Kyle Manzardo as part of a four-run frame that ended his outing. The 30-year-old has struggled to limit damage since joining the White Sox, surrendering four or more earned runs in three of his six starts with the team. Over that span, he's posted a 5.58 ERA with 15 walks and an 0-4 record, continuing a frustrating trend of inconsistency.

White Sox's Jaden Fauske: Drafted by ChiSox
The White Sox have selected Fauske with the 44th overall pick in the 2025 First-Year Player Draft.
Fauske may have been drafted higher if teams thought he wanted to stick at catcher, but the lefty hitter from Illinois seems to prefer to focus on offense while playing corner outfield. He has above-average power potential and a patient approach, although his 6-foot-3, 200-pound frame isn't overly projectable. Fauske may only chip in a handful of steals, so he'll need to provide significant value with the bat to get a strong-side platoon role at the highest level.

White Sox's Billy Carlson: Snagged by Sox
The White Sox have selected Carlson with the 10th overall pick in the 2025 First-Year Player Draft.
A 6-foot-1, 185-pound prep shortstop from California, Carlson has a chance to be a five-tool player, but it's his hit and power tools that currently lag behind. He's a no-doubt shortstop and above-average to plus runner who may get faster as he adds muscle. Carlson used to be a two-way player with a mid-90s fastball on the mound and his arm is a weapon at shortstop. Currently more of a line-drive hitter than an over-the-fence masher, Carlson's hit tool is ahead of his power, but he's got a projectable frame and good bat speed, so it's possible he develops into a 20-to-25-homer hitter who hits in the top third of a lineup, but a more realistic outcome would be for him to be an everyday shortstop who hits in the bottom third of a lineup while stealing 20-plus bases per year.
